NSRP is known as Nghi Son Refining and Petrochemical Company Limited, Thanh Hoa with the investment of four large corporations: Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PetroVietnam), Kuwait Petroleum Europe B.V. (KPE), Japan Idemitsu Kosan Company and Japan Mitsui Chemical Company. The estimated investment for NSRP is roughly 9 billion USD. Nghi Son Refinery has a processing capacity of 200,000 barrels of imported crude oil per day, equivalent to 10 million tons per year. NSRP has the largest foreign direct investment (FDI) in Vietnam as of August 2014.
BSR is Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical Joint Stock Company - a member unit of Vietnam Oil and Gas Group, which is responsible for receiving, managing and operating Dung Quat Oil Refinery with the total investment capital of over 3 billion USD, and processing capacity of 6.5 million tons of crude oil/year. Every year, Dung Quat oil refinery produces over 6.2 million tons of products of all kinds and meets about 30% of Vietnam's demand for energy.
